This project introduces you to cloud security fundamentals from a real-world security and SOC perspective. You will learn how cloud security differs from traditional on-prem security and why most cloud breaches happen due to misconfigurations and identity misuse, not advanced exploits.
You will explore essential cloud security concepts including shared responsibility model, cloud IAM security, network exposure risks, logging and monitoring, common cloud misconfigurations, and cloud threats seen in real incidents.
Each task is designed to mirror how security teams assess, monitor, and investigate cloud environments, building strong foundational clarity before moving into hands-on cloud security, CSPM, and cloud SOC projects.
By the end of this project, you will clearly understand how cloud environments are secured and how attackers typically exploit weak cloud security controls.
